4 Foods To Help Cure Anemia


FOODS FOR ANEMIATo combat anemia, which in most cases occurs due to lack of iron in the blood, it is recommended to include iron-rich foods that are usually dark in colors, such as beets, plums, black beans, and even chocolate.

That way, knowing a list of iron-rich foods is a great way to help treat the disease. To refresh and make the treatment more pleasant, some of these foods can be used to make yummy juices, which are excellent weapons against the disease.

1. Orange with Carrot and Beet Juice

Orange juice, carrots, and beets are great for fighting anemia because it is rich in iron.


  • 150 grams of raw or cooked beets (about 2 thick slices)
  • 1 small raw carrot
  • 2 oranges with plenty of juice
  • Molasses to taste to sweeten

Method of Preparation

Pass the beet and carrot through the centrifuge or food processor to remove as much juice as possible. Then add the mixture to the pure orange juice and drink immediately afterwards to take full advantage of its medicinal properties.

If you do not have these appliances, you can beat the juice in the blender without adding water and then strain it.

2. Pineapple Juicepineapple-slices

Pineapple juice with parsley is great for fighting anemia because the parsley has iron and the pineapple has vitamin C that potentiates the absorption of iron.


  • 2 slices of pineapple
  • 1 glass of water
  • some leaves of parsley

Method of Preparation

Beat the ingredients in the blender and drink immediately following your preparation. The pineapple can be replaced with orange or apple.

3. Artemisia Tea

Artemisia tea is an excellent home remedy that helps in curing anemia because this medicinal plant contains vitamin C, which helps the body absorb and use iron better.


  • 1 tablespoon dried leaf of Artemisia
  • 1 liter of water

Method of Preparation

Put the 2 ingredients in a pan and boil for 15 minutes, cover and let stand for 10 minutes. When you are lukewarm and drink a cup of sagebrush tea whenever you consume iron-rich foods of plant origin, such as beans, red or white meats.


Plum juice is also great for combating anemia because it is rich in vitamin C, and therefore potentiates the absorption of iron from foods of plant origin.


  • 100 g of plum
  • 600 ml of water

Method of Preparation

Add all the ingredients in the blender and beat well. After sweetening the plum juice is ready to be drunk.

To combat anemia, foods containing iron should be consumed daily and, depending on the severity of the anemia, the doctor may prescribe ferrous sulphate, for example.
