toothbrushDid you know that many of the widespread toothbrushing methods are incorrect and can actually damage teeth and gums. Oral hygiene is important because it affects the overall health of the body and helps you feel good.

See what advice experts provide for effective cleaning and long-term care for teeth.

1. Use circular movements

Intensive horizontal scrubbing is a common but wrong approach. The brushes are made of artificial material, which has a rough structure compared to gums and dentin. While the brush head moves fast forward and backward on the teeth, its hairs can injure the teeth and gums. Instead, use circular movements that resemble a massage above each tooth.

2. Select a soft brush and change it frequently

It is not recommended to use brushes of high or moderate hardness. Brushes are made of artificial material that can injure tooth enamel. Use milder varieties that also successfully clean the teeth. Do not take too long a brush but choose a smaller size to navigate it easily.

Change brushes every 1-2 months. In the meantime, they not only lose their form and efficiency, but they are hardening. In use, the top coat of linen is rubbed off and becomes coarse and irritating to the enamel. Buy more brush kits to help you change them often.

3. Do not wash immediately after eating

Better wait 30-45 minutes if you have consumed products with higher acid or sugar content. Otherwise, rubbing them against the teeth is also likely to remove particles from the enamel. Such products include fruits like apples and oranges, as well as carbonated beverages and sweets.

4. Clean the tongue and the inside of the teeth

The inside of the lower teeth is one of the most frequently neglected areas for cleaning. Turn the brush vertically and gently rub, moving from the bottom up. Do not forget to brush your tongue to remove bacteria and prevent bad breath.

5. Wash at an angle and not too often

It is enough to brush your teeth twice a day while aiming to maintain an angle of 45 degrees. It is good to use a toothbrush in the evening because the brush can not remove all the plaque accumulated in the narrow space between the teeth.
